FOR FRIENDLY FAMILY DOGS
YOUNG & OLD

Class meets once a week for 4 weeks, on the same day and at the same time each week. Each classroom session lasts for one hour. Choose a starting date/time for details and to register for that 4 week series.

The cost of the 4 week series is $135. Class size is currently limited to 4 dogs.

Want some tricks to show off to friends and family? Looking for a way to physically and mentally exercise your dog? Try trick training!

Trick training helps build your relationship with your dog while improving your timing and training skills.

We’ll teach these tricks from start to finish. Advanced versions of each trick for over-achievers, and for those who already know some tricks, are available.

The small class size ensures plenty of individualized attention, allowing each trick to be customized somewhat to each team’s strengths. Portions of this class may be held outside, weather and activity permitting.

The instructor for this class is Sarah Keegans. She enjoys teaching trick training because it requires creative problem solving and adaptability. Tricks are for fun, so there is the freedom to adjust goals to best suit each individual team, and each dog and handler brings something new and special to every trick.

Intermediate Tricks Class is a reward-based class. Treats, toys, play and praise are generously utilized.

Sarah recommends that you bring your dog to class on a front-clip harness or a flat buckle collar or regular harness. Bring a six-foot leash, lots of tasty, healthy treats and a tug toy (optional), settle mat (optional), and management chew (optional).

Intermediate Tricks Class is for friendly family dogs of any age. As long as your dog is old enough to have received his first rabies vaccination, he may register for this class.

This class is listed as an Intermediate Class, and it is expected that your dog already have some basic behaviors and a comfort in group training environments.

Our adult dog classes are intended for dogs who are able to be comfortable and focused around other dogs in a relatively small space. Although a little bit of barking at the beginning of class is acceptable, dogs who bark throughout class or at other dogs are not good candidates for this class, and should check out our Private Coaching Sessions instead.
