We’ll cover a range of holding-still behaviors from relaxed settling to alert waiting. We'll develop different reward rituals, learn how to cope with distractions, build endurance and raise criteria. You'll practice applying your new stay skills to a variety of different challenges, from environmental exposure, reactivity prevention, nail trims and grooming, and more.
The classroom environment offers you the opportunity to practice these skills around dogs and handlers working on the same activities. The small class size ensures plenty of individualized coaching. Portions of this class may be held outside, weather and activity permitting. Completing assigned homework (5-10 minutes a day) will greatly improve your performance in this class.
