1 HOUR | FREE

Ask a Dog Trainer is a free small-group Q&A for local dog owners who feel stuck, overwhelmed, curious, or unsure where to start.

Think of this as a chance to ask the questions you’d ask your best friend — if your best friend were a dog trainer. This is a no-dog event designed for discussion, education and general guidance. Bring your questions about training, behavior, puppies, manners, leash skills, reactivity, enrichment, class options, dog sports, difficult quality-of-life or rehoming questions, or living with dogs in the real world. We’ll talk through the situations participants bring, offer practical tips where appropriate, and help you sort out what may be normal, what may need more support, and what next steps might make sense. This can also be a useful starting point if you’re not sure what kind of help you need, or if classes or private training aren’t accessible right now.

Some questions may have simple training suggestions or management ideas. Others may point toward a class, private coaching, reputable online resources, veterinary care, a veterinary behaviorist, or a more individualized plan. Whenever possible, we’ll focus on practical, actionable suggestions you can take home and use.

Our guidance is grounded in reward-based training, with an emphasis on practical solutions that are humane, realistic and useful for everyday life with dogs.

This event is strictly limited in size so everyone has time to participate. Although there is no fee for this event, registration is required.

Please leave dogs at home. Ask a Dog Trainer is an educational discussion and is not a substitute for veterinary care, emergency help, or an individualized behavior consultation for urgent safety concerns.
