Dealing with Distractions

Saturday morning class for friendly family and sport dogs, young and old.

Your dog will practice relaxing, walking and focusing on you around a variety of distractions. Building strong reward rituals.

We'll develop a variety of strategies to help your dog manage environmental distractions and perform at their best. Our training includes relaxation exercises, attention-building games, walking drills, and real-world setups, providing ample opportunities to practice handling distractions in a supportive learning environment. Our classroom setting allows you to practice these skills alongside other dogs and handlers engaged in similar activities. The small class size ensures personalized coaching for each participant. Weather permitting, some sessions may be held outdoors.

Dealing with Distractions is for friendly family and sport dogs of any age. As long as your dog is old enough to have received his first rabies vaccination, he may register for this class.

Dealing with Distractions is a reward-based class. Treats, toys, play and praise are generously utilized. We recommend you bring your dog to class on a front-clip harness or a flat buckle collar or regular harness. Bring a six-foot leash, lots of tasty, healthy treats and a tug toy (optional), settle mat (optional).
