Independent rental is available for teams who have been approved for unsupervised treadmill use. More information about our dog treadmill can be found here.

Requirements for independent use:

The handler must demonstrate safe equipment use.
This includes operating the controls confidently, using the safety features appropriately, recognizing signs of fatigue or stress, identifying the dog’s gaits, and providing active, continuous supervision throughout every session.

The dog must demonstrate readiness.
The dog should load and unload calmly, walk and trot comfortably, recover from speed changes without significant stress, and show no major anxiety or shutdown around the treadmill. The dog must also be free of active lameness or unresolved health concerns unless cleared for treadmill work by their veterinarian.

Most teams prepare through our Intro to Dog Treadmill workshop or private coaching sessions. Experienced teams can schedule a single private session to demonstrate readiness.

Once approved, you’ll sign a treadmill-specific liability waiver and receive an access code for independent rental sessions.
